In addition to 25 years in this field, my training and credentials include an M.A. in health communication and
a Women’s Studies Certificate from the University of Maryland, as well as formal training as a focus group moderator through RIVA Market Research.

Upon completing my master’s degree, I became a Research Associate at Westat—a federal contractor.  Later, to gain experience putting findings into practice, I joined PR firm Porter Novelli where I rose to Vice President in the Health and Social Marketing Practice.

Those roles taught me that I love finding out about people’s lives, experiences, and needs

to figure out how to better reach and serve them.

So, in 2002, I embarked on my current professional role.
